Dr. Curtis Williamson, who treated the fever of Piper, unsuccessfully insists in calling her for follow-up exams in the hospital. Actually he is researching the blood of the Halliweel sisters in three monkeys. When is accidentally pricked with a blended mixture of their bloods, he becomes insane and evil, killing criminals to steal their organs for donation. Meanwhile, Prue is assigned to photograph Phoebe's idol, the actor Evan Stone, and a paparazzi shots pictures of them, bringing the spots on Prue. Piper tries to establish rules for Leo while staying in her house.

Prue has a melody in her head and when she sees a girl humming the tune, she finds that it belongs to the ice-cream truck. Prue and Phoebe follow the girl and the trio is sucked by a vortex inside the van. They find a playground in the middle of the snow and several children hiding from The Nothing. They rescue the children and once back in San Francisco, they realize that they are demon children. Meanwhile, their father Victor Bennett returns and helps his daughters to fix the situation, capturing the dangerous demons and sending them back to The Nothing.

The warlock Earnes absorbs the powers of the good witches that he has been murdering. After killing his last victim, her whitelighter Nathalie is sent by the elders to join Leo to protect the Charmed ones. Nathalie follows the instructions of the elders by the book, while the sisters follow their instinct and intuition. When Phoebe has a premonition, the Halliwell sisters protect the victim, but they realize that he is a darklighter, and then they disclose he real intention of Earnes: to steal the crossbow of the darklighter, and use it to kill the whiterlighters, leaving the witches without protection.

Prue and Phoebe fight against a demon on the street, while a greedy mortal wants his box. When the human is hit by a bus and die and the demon vanishes, the sisters bring the mysterious box home and discloses that it belongs to the demon Lukas and inside is locked the seven deadly sins: pride, envy, gluttony, lust, anger, greed and sloth. Lukas recovers his Pandora box and uses the sins against The Charmed Ones and Leo: pride against Prue; gluttony for Piper; lust for Phoebe; and sloth for Leo. After the exposure, Lukas expects them to self-destruct themselves for him to get their souls.

Cole returns and visits Phoebe, asking her to cast a spell to quit his evil powers. However, while walking with Cole, Phoebe unsuccessfully tries to save a street preacher vanquishing a demon, and Cole claims that the demon was his brother. Cole tells the Halliwell sisters and Leo that he was a member of the powerful demoniac Brotherhood of Thorn. He proposes to join the brotherhood again undercover to disclose their evil intentions, but Prue and Pipers do not trust on Cole. Meanwhile, the brotherhood accepts Cole back with restrictions, since they suspect of his true intentions. Cole has to prove that he is evil killing an important businessman, while The Charmed Ones plan how to save the victim without jeopardizing Cole.

Piper, Phoebe and Leo are grieving the death of Prue with Victor Bennett, Cole and friends, when Darryl arrives with the arrogant Inspector Cortez, who is in charge of the investigation of the two mysterious murders. Meanwhile, the assistant of the South Bay Social Services Paige Matthews is attracted by the obituary and goes to the funeral. Later she discloses that she is half-sister of Piper and Phoebe. The Source is informed by the Oracle about the existence of this new witch and comes to Earth to seduce her to the evil side in forty-eight hours.

At social services, Paige notices that runaway ten year-old boy Tyler has magical powers, and is scared to hurt someone, notably his foster parents - it turns out they are demonic bounty hunters, who want to sell him to upper level demon Ludlow who runs a school for the new Source, who traditionally uses fire-starters, Tyler's rare magical kind, as bodyguards...

The first thing he does with his new powers is throw himself into an alternate reality where he is once again Belthazor and Phoebe and Piper never met Paige, meaning the Power of Three was never reconstituted. Paige herself is thrown into the opposite reality also when a sneeze makes her orb during Cole's spell. While Cole attempts to live his life happily with Phoebe as his bride, Paige tries to convince her sisters that she is their long lost half sisters and get them to help her vanquish Cole once and for all. The only problem is no one believes her claims!

Paige masquerades as a hawker to set a trap at the evil market, alas on her own, and gets caught by two hawkers, who steal her powers and during Phoebe and Piper's rescue mission attack in the mansion, with a surprise outcome...
