Nick read Drama & English at Kent University.He made his professional acting debut in the 1980 revival of the Whitehall farce Simple Spymen, directed by Brian Rix and later went on to play opposite him in the West End revival of Dry Rot. In 1982 he won the Perrier award at Edinburgh with his revue group, Writers inc.Other stage appearances include Caught in the Net, The Sloane Ranger Revue and Newsrevue in the West End; national tours of Run for your wife, Oklahoma!, Outside Edge, Brief Encounter, The Railway Children and as Samuel Pepys; a middle and far-east tour of Bedroom Farce; Funny Money in Singapore and Kuala Lumpur; 'Rosencrantz' in Rosencrantz & Guildenstern are dead (Salisbury); 'Maniac' in Accidental death of an anarchist (Southampton); 'Roy' in Neville's Island (Watford); 'Sir Percy Shorter' in Habeas Corpus (Exeter, Bromley & Farnham); and 'Kenneth' in The woman who cooked her husband. Christmas 2006 will be Nick's seventh year as Pantomime Dame, playing 'Sarah the cook' in Dick Whittington at Rhyl.Nick's television series include Carrott's Lib, Hello Mum, Fast Forward, The satellite show, and Jackanory, all of which he also wrote for. On radio Nick has made hundreds of recordings and was in three series of Son of Cliché and In One ear, which both won Sony awards for best comedy.
