Born in Maidstone, Kent, Rudi Dharmalingham studied performing arts at the University of Salford, obtaining his B.A. in 2002 and going straight into the television series 'Cutting It',where he was with the cast until 2004. Having been an understudy in the original West End production of 'The History Boys' he played the part of Crowther on Broadway and in the national tour. This was for the National Theatre, with whom he has appeared several times, notably in the play 'England People Very Nice'. He has also worked with the Headlong Theatre and the Unicorn Theatre, the first custom built venue for children's plays,taking the role of Tom in an adaptation of 'Tom's Midnight Garden'.
